Action Figures

This page is about my collection of action figures and toys which happens to be based around the Batman films, cartoons and any other spin off they could get away with.

.There are different categories from different era's, click on the collection link below you want to see or just scroll down to see the lot.

'89 Movie |  Animated Series | Adventures Of Batman & RobinLegends Of BatmanBatman Forever | Ninjas

£3.75 or £15 ?
This is the first, as I have already mentioned. I bought one like this in 1989 for £3.75 from John Menzies and it all started from here. This one on the left is not my first one. That one is in my Batmobile, with the card on which it was mounted cut up into loads of bits. Instead I bought this one for £15 about two years ago from an antiques shop in Shrewsbury town centre.
This is the second one I ever bought and is the original one that I bought in 1989. I also bought this from Menzies for £3.75 and I have since seen these go for sale at around £30. This one is not Mint condition or anything because I used to display it on my shelf. It's got a cool water squirter that you squeeze to make water (or wee) come out of his Orchid.
Wee squirter
Bob The Goon. No Not Me.
Again from the 1989 movie, it's Bob The Goon. Joker's right hand man. This cost me £15 from the same antiques shop mentioned above, as I never bought this one when it came out in '89. I only bought this one in around 1999, so it's quite new to me.
After the 1989 film there was a lull in Batman stuff but the Animated Series came out and this was good for loads more toys. This is my Combat Belt Batman from BTAS (Batman The Animated Series), I used to display this one too and to do this I had to cut round the bubble on the pack. I think that this cast me around £7.00 from somewhere I don't remember. But it is a cool one.
Combat Belt Batman
High Wire Batman
This figure is also from the animated series, I think this cost me around £4.00 from Woolworths in town. It is the High-Wire Batman and has a deathslide attachment which works using a grappling hook type thing.
This is Poison Ivy from BTAS and comes with a crossbow and a venus fly trap weapon. Where do they dream these things up from? I've had this many years and I think I paid about £4.00 for it.
Poison Ivy
Knight Eyes Batman
Knight Eyes Batman from BTAS, this cost me a little more than the last couple above, because it's a deluxe figure. It has a backpack which you fit to the Batman and makes his eyes and Bat Insignia light up. I think it was around £8.00 I paid for this.
This is the Lightning Strike Batman also from BTAS. This cost me about £5.00 from wherever I bought it from. It is called Lightning Strike because of the Lightning flashes on the Batsuit. He has a glider thing too that encloses him.
Lightning Strike Batman
Ninja Batman & Robin
This set is the Ninja Power Pack Batman and Robin from BTAS. This one cost me about £9.00 from Woolworths when I bought it. It has B&R in ninja type suits and with ninja style weapons to throw at Alfred should he forget to put the tea on.
This is Radar Scope Batman from BTAS and he has some weird radar shield on his back. I think he also has a firing grappling hook too. This cost me £2.99 in a bargain bucket somewhere.
Radar Scope Batman
Radar Batman
Look familiar? Yes that's right it's virtually the same as the one above. Except it's foreign. I think this must be a European version bacause it is called Batman Radar from Le Serie Animee. This one was also cheap from the Sunday Market in town and I think I paid £3.00 for it.
This is Pogo Stick Joker from The Adventures Of Batman & Robin collection. It cost me just over £5.00 I think and has the Master Of Mirth on the most trusty of getaway vehicles, the Pogo Stick. Why do I buy these things?
The Joker
The Riddler
This is also from the same series as the one above and is called just, Riddler. If you can see the price, this cost me £2.99 in Woolworths bargain bucket. He has a couple of question mark shaped weapons here and could be mighty dangerous.
This is Catwoman again, with Quick Climb Claw and Capture Net. Try saying that when you're drunk. This is a Legends Of Batman figure, I don't quite understand the significance of the "Legends" series of figures but it sounds like another way of getting cash out of me. I think that I may have won this one in a Sugar Puffs breakfast cereal competition because at one point they were doing the cards from the Legends series.
Catwoman
Longbow Batman
Another Legends figure, the LongBow Batman comes with Arrow Slinging Assault. It probably cost me around £7.00 when I bought it. I don't remember where from though.
This figure is Nightwing, which in case you didn't know is Dick Grayson from Batman's past after he left to become his own hero. This pack contains his Super Strike Rocket Launcher and it was found by myself in a bargain bucket somewhere for the reasonable price of £3.99.
Nightwing
Riddler
This is another legends figure and shows the Riddler with some sort of question mark weapon. This one is European too, I think. It cost me £2.99 at a sunday market. This one looks the bee's knee's.
This is Egyptian Batman & Catwoman from the Legends series of figures. I can't remember how much I paid for these but it was probably about £10.00 from a toyshop somewhere in town. Another way of ripping me off but it's my own fault.
Egyptian Bat & Cat
Bane
Different packaging but still Legends Of Batman, this one shows Bane the only villain in history of the Batman to actually break Batman's spine and paralyse him. He is a monster. This cost me around £8.00 from somewhere and I think I bought it twice so I've got one of them at work on my desk. (Ultra sad)
This chap is Professor Crane AKA Scarecrow. This is a nice Legends figure again from the same series as the Bane above. I forget where this one came from too, but I think it was probably Toys R Us. It cost me around £8.00. Such a nice chap Scarecrow, he feeds on your fears and specialises in scaring the crap out of people.
Scarecrow
Panther Catwoman
The packaging looks the same but it is actually Legends Of The Dark Knight. Everything looks the same but this was cheap at £2.99 from a bargain bucket in a toy shop. This is a nice figure but I'm not quite sure why there are so many different types of "Legends".
This "Special Legends Edition" figure shows Bucaneer Batman with his weapons of old. Nice. This probably cost me about £8.00 when I bought it too. This series confuses me too, as it says it is a legends series but packaging and themes are completely different. What a swizz.
Bucaneer Batman
Laughing Man Joker
This is also a Special Legends Edition and it is "The Laughing Man Joker". It is basically Joker dressed as that famous painting the Laughing Cavalier. Again a big swizz for my cash, but I had to have it. This was also £8.00 approx.
Another Special Legends Edition, but with completely different packaging, this is Samurai Batman and I got this one from the Warner Bros. store in Chester. This looked like the nicest of the figures that I could see.
Samurai Batman
Ice Blade Batman
This is from the '95 film Batman Forever and this figure is Ice Blade Batman. This was given to me as a pressie for my birthday I think but it would have been about £8.00.
Another Forever figure, this one is the Riddler with a question mark weapon, how ingenious. I think this was a Christmas pressie from someone who knows what makes me smile. Again, it was probably about £8.00 when purchased.
The Riddler
The Riddler
Another Riddler from the Forever series of action figures, never. This is very similar to the one above but has slightly different weapons and packaging. I think I paid £8.00 for this from a WB shop in Merry Hill Shopping Centre.
This is a Deluxe Forever figure and it is the Martial Arts Robin. The price tag on this is £4.99 as I got it from a sunday market or a cheapo shop somewhere. He has all sorts of Ninja weapons and stuff.
Martial Arts Robin
Batman & Robin
Another Forever set, this is Batman & Robin the Guardians Of Gotham City. They must have run out of ideas for stupid figures and just made some normal ones. This was probably about £10.00 when I bought it. I think this one was also a WB shop purchase.
This is the character played by Tommy Lee Jones in the 1995 film, Two-Face. In this pack he has some very nasty weapons that he may be able to hurt helpless bank security guards with. I can't remember getting this one but it was probably a pressie off someone.
Two Face
Blast Cape Batman
This is Blast Cape Batman from the Forever series of figures and is quite a cool one. It cost about £7.00 from Woolworths I think. The cape ejects from his back if you press a button or two.
This is another Forever figure and this one is Bruce Wayne with some armor and a Bat-Mask that he can put on in case he gets into trouble down the local disco. This is quite a nice figure and I paid around £7.00 from Toys R Us for it way back in 1995.
Bruce Wayne

This is Blade Blast Robin from the 4th Movie Batman & Robin, This probably cost about £8.00.The Robin's all look like Chris O'Donnell.
This is Glacier Battle Robin from the B&R movie. Just another toy to sell with different gadgets on. This one cost a little more due to the fact that it is a Deluxe model??? I don't like the film that these toys are based on and as such these toys aren't as nice as some of the others I have.
This is the Mr Freeze figure from B&R and is quite a simple figure with a simple weapon. Quite a novel concept for the makers of these toys. This cost around £8.00 when someone bought it me for Christmas.
Another Mr Freeze figure from the same film. This too was a gift, and probably cost around £8.00. It is a different paintjob to the Freeze above and has different weapons too.
This is Frostbite, from the B&R Movie. I don't actually recall seeing a bloke called Frostbite in the film and this strikes me as being another blatant rip off. I bought it anyway. About £8.00 if I remember correctly.
This is Hover Attack Batman. The only Batman figure I have from this movie.
This is AZRAEL, from the Batman Ninjas series of figures. I probably only payed a fiver for this at the Entertainer in Telford. For those of you who don't know Azrael is Jean Paul Valley who took over the role of Batman when Bane broke Batman's back in a scrap. Oh he's also a nutjob with a penchant for religious vengeance.
This is another figure from the Ninja series, that I bought the same time as the Azrael one. It was a fiver too. The Ninja series of figures is, yes you guessed it, another rip off to get my cash off me. It works...
