Collectibles

Over the last 11 years, I have collected a lot of stuff. A lot of it toys and books but I do like buying the very nice stuff when I can afford to. My main aim is to get an Animation Cel from the actual cartoon. This would be from WB Studio Store I think. They're about £400.
While I have never managed to put enough money aside to buy this one thing I have bought a few smaller ones. Take for example this print. It was No. 105 from a limited edition of 250. It is a piccy of Batman sitting atop a gargoyle looking out over Gotham. It cost me £95 but it was worth every penny. I apologise for the quality of the piccy here. It was drawn by Jim Aparo, who is a famous artist in the Batman world and his work can be seen in many books.

Resin Bust
This is one of my favourites. It is a resin bust of the Animated Batman and stands about 15" high. It cost me £55 but it looks really good sitting on top of my shelves at home. This is not a limited edition or anything but it just looks great. I also have a slightly smaller bust of Bats but it is a moneybox. Both of these and the above pic were purchased from the WB Studio Store. They seem to sell really good looking stuff, that doesn't look pathetic. Well not to me anyway.....
This is also one of my favourites.. It is a limited edition of a piece by Rob Larson. Mine is number 207 from a 500. My elder brother Dave bought it me for a birthday not long ago. I have never seen another of these anywhere. It also hangs on the wall in my Batman/Computer room.

Fossil Batman Watch
This watch is not a limited edition or anything but it looks good and only cost £55. As you can see from the picture, I bought it from Warner Bros. and it also came in it's own collectors tin. I must admit to having worn this twice, only for very special occasions though. This was in the shop when I went to an invitation only release of Batman Merchandise when Batman & Robin was released. I went with Mark Haynes one of my colleagues and his son. (So at least we had an excuse to be there....)
This statue of Mr Freeze from Forever was bought for me by my wife, also for a birthday pressie. It depicts Arnie as Victor Fries and was purchased from the WB Studio Store about three or four years ago. I really like this one even though it is not a very sought after or valuable item.

Harley Quinn Statue
This is a statue of Harley Quinn, it's 5.5 inches tall by 6.75 inches long. Jo bought me this for Christmas 2000, it cost her £85 from the local comic shop. It is designed by Bruce Timm from the animated cartoons of Batman and this statue is a limited edition. No 3998 of 6000. I really like it's bold colours and she's got a sexy arse too!
This is a statue of Catwoman which was purchased from Warner Bros shop in Merry Hill. It cost me £24.49 instead of the £35 it should have been. Her whip is made of wire and it looks cool sitting atop my Batman shelves with the Harley Quinn and Mr Freeze Statues. It was the third one I got off the shelf, because the first one had the fingers broken off, and the second had the whip sheared off at the hand.

7" Single.

This again is not very valuable but it just represents me, it is a 7" Vinyl Single of the Batman theme from the sixties TV show. I have never seen them before or after I obtained this one from somewhere I don't remember.
This is a standee (cardboard cut-out) from 1989 when Batman the Movie was released. It was originally in a book shop and a friend of mine managed to get hold of it. He is also a collector of these sorts of thing, but he sold it to me for about £30.00 about 4 years ago. It's about 5.5ft in height and is mainly monochrome apart from the badge and belt. It comes in two parts and is a little damaged on the back, from when we have moved house. It is up in the attic as I'm not allowed to have it in the bedroom or the living room.

Collectors Edition Plate
This is also one of my favourite parts of my collection. It is a limited edition collectors plate showing Batman & Batgirl on a rooftop, from the Animated Series. It cost me around £35 from Warner Bros. shop in Dudley's Merry Hill Shopping Centre. It's too nice to hang on the wall and expect it not to get broken.
This is another smaller standee, advertising the soundtrack for the movie Batman Forever. It shows much the same as the movie poster but has tracks off the album printed on it. I bought this from a Birmingham Collectors fair for £5.00 but they probably scavved it from a bin somewhere. I also have a larger one, similar to this but it is advertising a Nissan Hollywood promotion from the same time the movie was released. Jo managed to get this one for nothing from a local Nissan garage along with a big window sticky advert thingy. Cool.

Videos
Even though it looks really sad, this is the collection of Batty videos that I own. There are lots I have still to get, but these here are really very good. Batman Beyond:Rebirth is one of the latest acquisitions and tells the story of how Bruce Wayne retires and the Mantle Of The Bat is passed to Terry McGinness. Quite a good story and the usual excellent animation make it an enjoyable watch. Even my wife Jo said she liked it.
Another Warner Bros. purchase. £25.00 for a special edition of Monopoly, not bad eh? This version of the classic game has Wayne Manor instead of Mayfair and other differences. Instead of stations, there are the Batmobile and other vehicles. This is up in my attic still in it's wrapper. I just couldn't open this one, it's too nice in it's box.

Clock
This is a clock, unless you hadn't already guessed. It cost £12 from WB Studio Store in Merry Hill, and then someone bought it off me, so that they could give it me for Christmas. Nice. This picture does not do it justice, as it is a lovely black metal clock with the Batman yellow colour on the insignia. It is an alarm clock that makes the old fashioned alarm noise. This is in use on my shelves in the Bat-room.

This is a bust of the Batman, I beleive it is painted by Neil Sims in the UK, but I have yet to find out. It cost me £65 from Infinity & Beyond in Shrewsbury and is well worth it. The detail is phenomenal and the painting is also superb.

If anyone has more info on this piece, please fill me in at my guestbook.
